I exchanged my Palm Treo 650 cell phone. Originally got a Nokia E62, and then saw a Treo available at a ridiculous price ($50.00), and I lived with the Palm Pilot. By the time my phone was returned and credited - the $50.00 phone was not available. Then I was told that not only was a Cingular Treo going to be $200.00, but it was also unavailable. When I was about to lose patience, I was told I would get a cell phone with 48 hours and I did. Then I saw the 680 in magazines for the same price I paid for a (used) 650. I am now enjoying using the phone. I guess I wondered if someone was going to ask, and now maybe I wonder if someone is going to offer me a 680 for a small exchange amount.

I love my Palm Treo 650!It has everything I was looking for and by far the best phone I've ever had. I love that I can put my own memory cards into it!!Texting is so simple now! It's spoiling me!!

I have had my Palm Treo 650 for over a year now and that is a record for me with phones. I have dropped it, got it wet, and unintentionally abused it in any number of ways and it just keeps working. I really like the device and all of its functions because it has everything all in one. There are better phones, better organizers, better PDA's, and better mp3 players, but this device rolls everything into one which is the attraction for people who want to simplify. I have a blue tooth car kit that makes using the phone while driving so much easier and safer. I also have a Motorola bluetooth ear bud that is more comfortable and works far better than the Palm ear bud, and this makes using the phone easier. The phone is not particularly good when you have to use it bare. I find that I have to keep the volume all the way up to hear a caller. I find all of the PDA functions to be easy to use and the hot sync operation instantly backs everything up with my computer. It has perfect compatibility with Microsoft Outlook's calendar and address book and updates all new data instantly.

I love the PDA functions of the Palm Treo 650 - but the phone is terrible. Unless you are in a near silent environment it is never loud enough, and the pick up on the mike is awful. The earbud makes things better but it's painful over a minute or 2 and won't stay securely in my ear. The 650 is also thick and heavy (of course it does so much more than a typical cell phone, so that is fairly understandable). For all that weight however, the casing is much too delicate. Other than those points, it's really a useful tool, and for all my complaints, I'm keeping it as I despise carrying multiple devices.
